HISTORY: here!
PERSONALITY:
One of Peggy’s biggest defining factors is her self-confidence and her belief in her own self. She knows her own worth, and she won’t allow anyone to belittle her for it. They may talk down to her, sure, and underestimate who she is and what she is capable of, but she never allows others’ views of her to colour her own views of herself. This isn’t to say that Peggy is cocky and overconfident, though. She feels fear much the way anyone else would, and there are times she finds herself in over her head. She’s not infallible, but she’s also brave enough to take the risks that need to be taken. There was a brief part of her life where Peggy had convinced herself that all she wanted was to have a quiet, married life while working as a codebreaker, but her brother (before his untimely death out in the field) started to convince her that the Peggy he knew wanted a life of adventure, and he wasn’t wrong about that. It was his death that ultimately pushed Peggy to choose a life that was more about uncertainty and adventure, but it’s certainly a choice she’s never looked back on or regretted.
Peggy always wants to do the right thing, and she has a strong moral compass in that regard. Yes, her job forces her to do things like lie and deceive people, but Peggy isn’t one to deceive someone who is innocent, unless it’s someone she needs to get information from, and in that case, she’ll try to do it without harming them. This mission always comes first for her, and she’ll try to complete the mission, the goal, the task at hand to the best of her ability. She’s pragmatic that way, and able to compartmentalize her personal feelings versus the situation she finds herself in. An example of this was when she was prepared to have Mr. Jarvis shoot down a brainwashed Howard Stark, even if it meant losing a friend, because doing so would save the citizens of New York City.
Generally speaking, no matter how difficult the decision at hand may be, Peggy can always be counted on making the hard decisions, even if they're ones that might hurt her personal life in the future. This means that she's able to compartmentalize very well. Even when her roommate Colleen was killed, Peggy first dispatched with her killer before sitting down to mourn the death of her innocent friend. Because she keeps on losing those around her, though, Peggy tends to keep people at an arm's distance. She's wary about letting people get close because she doesn't want anyone to get hurt because of her and the situations she finds her life in. (At the beginning of the game, at least, this will be a hurdle she will be forced to quickly get over - at first, at least - because if not, innocent people could die in the Vault. She knows that death is part of life, but she also views the deaths that happen on her watch as sort of a failure on her end - she could have done better.)
Peggy has a dry, wry sense of humour that she doesn't share much, but she is prone to sarcasm when the situation warrants it - usually when she's being talked down to or underestimated, or finds an idea wildly ridiculous. Behind that sarcastic streak, there is a genuine warmth to her. Peggy loves and cares about the people and the world around her, and all she wants to do is to protect it.
ORGANIC FORM: Human
SUITABILITY/REACTION:
Well, Peggy’s certainly not going to be a fan of the fact that there was an apocalypse and she wasn’t around to try to stop it! She’s a hero, out and out, and she’s going to be upset that she couldn’t do anything about it. Once she snaps out of that, though, Peggy is going to do her best to adjust to this new normal and see how to best move forward. She’s a person used to swift and unusual change – the death of her brother Michael, learning about HYDRA and Red Skull, losing Captain America, fighting the likes of Leviathan and Whitney Frost have all taught Peggy that the world is a lot more complex than convoluted than she ever dreamed, and she’s used to rolling with the punches and finding her balance therein. A natural born leader, Peggy will likely get her bearings as best she can, and help out those around her as best she can. Peggy is a survivor and a fighter, but things will likely be more difficult for her in her private moments, when she’s allowed to be by herself and the weight of the vault isn’t on her shoulders, even if she’s choosing to put that weight on her shoulders herself. She’s not really one for sitting back. Upon finding herself in the Vault – before she knows why she’s there – the first thing she’s liable to do is get as much information as she can by checking out the Pip-boy, the computers, exploring, and talking to those around her. Peggy isn’t one for violence unless the situation warrants it, so she’s not going to run out punching – that doesn’t solve anything…until it does.

[The Pip-boy transmission crackles to life. The voice heard is low, the accent a clipped, brisk, English accent. She hesitates a moment before speaking, as though she’s trying to sort out what she wants to say.]
Right. This is Peggy. I’ve been exploring – perhaps unwisely – by myself. After the ordeal with the blackout and the giant roaches, I didn’t think it wise to endanger anyone – not until we were surer of what the danger was, at least. Long story short – I have no answers. Yet.
[Does she sound irritated? Because she’s irritated.]
No answers on this Overseer yet, and this device on our arms – drowning it doesn’t short out, and even the roaches can’t damage it. Yes, I realize that going looking for one was unwise, but I was running out of options and answers. I couldn’t find any whiskey either which is…unfortunate. It could have come in handy.
[A spoonful of that sugar would have helped the bitter pill that was this medicine of having no answers go down a bit better.]
In any case, I’m in the kitchen area, if anyone wants to swap notes and any knowledge you might have gleaned. Or if anyone just wants some company. I've a can of steak and kidney pie with me, if anyone finds that enticing.

HISTORY: Sorcerer Hunters Wiki
Absolute Anime
Sorcerer Hunters is an older anime series so there isn't much detail in her back-story so I will write it out here.
Chocolat Misu is the older of two siblings. Taken in by Sacher Torte her and her younger sister Tira grew up alongside him and loved him dearly. She lived there until she was five. One day, Sacher arrived home, inexplicably crazy. He began to butcher the other orphans living there; looking for 'the One'. Eventually he found Chocolat and her sister and almost caught them but Onion Glace showed up to stop him just in time. Striking Sacher down, he decided to adopt them. Chocolat was left traumatized. Filled with hatred for her ex-father she refused to trust anyone and secluded herself. She would spend most of the time training.
Eventually she tried to run away.
The Village was hidden along a secluded mountain and was surrounded by boundless traps. Chocolate was unaware of this, and was only warned of it by Onion's son, Carrot. He followed her, hoping that he could protect her. Instead they fell off a bridge into one of the many rivers below. Thankfully Carrot managed to remain conscious during the fall and dragged himself and Chocolat out of the river.
It was during this time Chocolat fell in love with Carrot.
As they made their way back to the village, Carrot pulled Chocolat aside and gave her his commissar cap, telling her to take all that anger she had bottled up, and only bring it out when she wore it. She then dedicated her life to become a Sorcerer Hunter in hopes that she could someday find Sacher. It was through this training that she gained the skills she needed as well as using her anger more efficiently. She became a Sorcerer Hunter at fifteen. Swearing an oath to protect the weak, she embarked on her lifelong mission to take down corrupt Sorcerers, including Sacher. It was while following his trail of destruction that she found a destroyed home, and one surviving boy, Gateau Mocha. Amazed by Gateau's strength, Chocolat brought him back to health. Upon hearing that she was a Sorcerer Hunter, Gateau begged Chocolat to take him on as an apprentice. Chocolat understood his rage, agreeing to train him.
After she turned 17 she was contacted by Saint Big Mama and was given a mission to hunt The Crystal Magicians, sorcerer's who entrapped human souls into crystals and sell them. Her and Gateau were made to team up with another group consisting of Tira, Carrot, and Marron. They were efficient in taking down the Crystal Magicians. Big Mama realized how well they worked together, and Chocolat learned the value of teamwork.
One day, Big Mama approached them with another job; to research the disappearances of other Hunters. Thinking that a rebel group could be behind it, the group went off into battle only to find Sacher leading them, thus sending Chocolat into a panic. It was after much struggle that they eventually found Sacher, only to fall directly into his trap. He then revealed that his true plan was to destroy the power imbalance between Sorcerers and Parsoners by creating a world sans sorcerers! To do that he needed to find the prophesied child who carried the soul of the God of Destruction within. This child was Carrot. Sacher then lured the Sorcerer Hunters to him to get a hold of Carrot.
Capturing him and fighting off the rest of the hunters with ease, it was only Gateau's death that allowed the Sorcerer Hunters were able to weaken him. But by now it was too late for Carrot, who had manifested into the God Of Destruction. Suddenly, Big Mama arrived, revealing to the Sorcerer Hunters that it wasn't just fate that brought them together. She told the tale of the four other guardian gods, who protected the world from the God of Destruction. It turns out these gods possessed each of Carrot's friends. Chocolate was the incarnate of the The Holy Demon of the South. Together with the other Sorcerer Hunters she was born to watch over Carrot. Now it was time to awaken to calm the diety. Big Mama then awakened their souls and fight Carrot, eventually quelling him.
Defeated, Sacher laid there dying. However, he accepted his loss and as one last gift to both his daughters, he used his life to revive Gateau.
The Sorcerer Hunters went back to normal until Chocolat and Tira find Carrot on a date with another woman!
It seemed that he really liked her. The sisters were devastated and tried to admit their feelings to him. He responded with hesitation. They are angry but instead of showing that anger to Carrot they met up with the girl that he likes, Mousse. Mousse says that she will not give up. Not sure what to do, they head back only to be attacked by magical dolls. Upon winning, one of the dolls mentions the true awakening of the God of Destruction, again. Realizing that Carrot in danger, they run off to help him arriving too late. As they approach Mousse's hotel they caught sight of both Mousse and Carrot being whisked away by Almond Rassel.
Big Mama approached them with some of the other Sorcerer Hunters. She tells them to prepare for what could be their last battle. When they are ready, Big Mama leads the Sorcerer Hunters to the underground ruins of the ancient city Ridella.
They find Carrot tied up and Almond standing before them. But before they can all take him on, his associate transports the sisters away to fight a special doll of his, possessed with the spirit of, Sacher. Despite their resolve, the sisters stood no chance and were quickly taken out. But he does not kill them, instead taking thier side. Meanwhile Almond is destroyed by the others. With Almond's death Sacher acknowledges that the magic holding his soul to the doll would soon vanish.
Just as he disappears, the true mastermind behind Carrot's kidnapping emerges. Charlotte Stella, Big Mama's younger brother and the emperor of Ridella, had awakened. But he became jaded, wishing an end to his forced eternal rest by re-awakening the God of Destruction. With his abilities he is able to remove the power of all sorcerers to force Carrots awakening.
With that the God of Destruction begins his reign. Big Mama tries to warn Charolette that he would also die, but Charolette says that the God of Destruction is now under his control. In attempts to prove it, he screams out an order to the god... Only to have it turn and attack him. Big Mama takes the blow instead. The Sorcerer Hunters, watch helplessly. Surprisinlgly Mousse, who had been a doll the whole time, spoke up behind them. With her abilities she explains that she can help them once more channel the gods that live within them. But that will only destroy the God of Destruction and Carrot with it.
Chocolat's temporary ascension to god-hood began again. Losing all sense of her mortal self she fought Carrot. But as the battle continued she began to question why.
Tira, first broke free from her bloodlust, called out for Carrot and charged towards the him. Her reckless behavior was quick to snap Chocolat out of it. But the moment Tira approached the Destruction God he killed her. This managed to reach Carrot who broke free of the God's will and used all of his power to bring Tira back, admitting he loved her.
The gods descended to the world below, protecting Tira and Carrot.
Big Mama guided Charolette with her to the old city, where they would join in sleep for eternity.
A little later Chocolat returns to her mortal self. And although Tira won Carrot's heart , she kept up her determination. Hoping that one day she may still steal him away.
PERSONALITY:
Chocolat is a completely farfetched and ridiculous character, and it is perhaps impossible to mention her personality without bringing up the two very extreme sides she posseses. She comes off as a loud and peppy girl. She is not afraid to scream out what she wants or how she feels and because of that she does not often seem like the smartest member. She is quick to interrupt others, state her opinions, and thinks of what it is she wants above all else. She can also be overwhelming and a bit disdaining, often doing whatever she can to have people bend to her needs. Perhaps, it is a good thing that her concerns are towards protecting those abused by Sorcerers. She is manic and obsessive as well. Her love for Carrot borderlining on the 'yandere' territory. She will do anything in her power to stop him from doing anything with anyone else besides her, whether he reciprocates her feelings or not. Her world centers around him, and she will do everything she can to try to win his love. Which brings us to yet another facet of her personality.
Chocolat is an unrelenting pervert.
She is sexy and she knows it. Because of that she has a sort of confidence which often makes her appear as unapproachable to some. She has a tendency to flirt and play with any boy if it means it will get her what she wants. Despite this, she is surprisingly prude in how far she would physically go with others. Primarily because she will save herself only for the one person she truly feel like she belongs too, her darling Carrot.
She is constantly daydreaming, thinking of sexual situations her and her beloved could end up in, often causing her to giggle, moan, and talk to herself out loud. She also is a complete exhibitionist. Her primary tactic in seducing her precious 'Darling" being to publicly strip and expose herself without hesitation in hopes that showing off her body will seduce him. She often disregards others does her own thing, and it was for that reason that for many years she would work on her own.
This is what she considered her 'reserved self', because despite all the stress she places on her friends and family, she feels she has to hold back somewhat in fear that her 'true personality' will only scare away Carrot from loving her.
Her short-tempered tends to show itself from time to time, but that is simply the shallow end of her unrelenting rage. Due to all the pain she had to endure at an early age, as well as the fact that she had to feign strength through most of her childhood to protect her younger sister, Chocolat built up a deep pool of anger and a lust for revenge. Big Mama and The Sorcerer Hunters had managed to harvest that as she grew up by training her as a Sorcerer Hunter. But Carrot, raised beside her for half her childhood, found this side of her, absolutely horrifying. It was because of this that he had given her his hat as a child, telling her that she could only show that scary side of herself when she wears it. And since it was Carrot who said that, she stuck to his words literally.
It was only as she placed the hat on and goes into her "Sorcerer Hunter" mindset that she doesn't hold back. She is bloodthirsty and unforgiving, not hesitating to use her mastery with a razor wire garrote to maim and slaughter anyone who stands in her path. She is also skilled in using throwing knives as well as rope tying. She also does not hessitate in using various poisons and powders on either friend or foe alike as long as it benefits her in some way.
When she shows her 'true self' she not only shows her tactical intelligence, but she changes her whole physical appearance. Although she is known to strip a bit in her reserved persona, she wears a fairly average outfit and seems as if she can blend into a crowd easily. But when she shows her true self, not only does she sport the hat Carrot gave her all those years ago, but she also changes her entire wardrobe to match her personality. When fighting as a Sorcerer Hunter most people describe her as a horrifying power dominatrix. She wears high boots, baggy leather pants, and suspenders with nothing covering her top besides the straps themselves. And when she dresses like this she is deadly. She has not shown restraint in maiming, battering and sometimes decapitating her enemies. She shows no sympathy for those she judges as the 'bad guys' and in fact at times seems to show hints of
lustjoy at the pain she brings. That is not to say she doesn't have a sympathetic side to her though. She tends to see herself as a savior for the weak, and is happy to show compassion and support for those she personally feels need the help. This was the reason she picked up Gateau and personally trained him to become a Sorcerer Hunter, she saw his sadness and both related to and pitied him. She's saved the lives of and guided many parsoners and sometimes even some sorcerers in attempts to help them. She's especially easy to persuade regarding matters of the heart. It's implied that she can never turn down a good love story, as she tends to relate a bit too heavily to them.
It is perhaps because of this that the bulk of her personality is best represented through her feelings and treatment of the one she loves most, Carrot Glace. She has obsessed over him since the moment he saved her life when she was little, and has since sworn herself as being his lover no matter what. As time passed she had learned to follow him obsessively and will do just about anything to make sure that he ends up as hers, even if he's not particularly happy about it. She doesn't try to change herself for him, if anything she and him are most compatible in the fact that they mutually act like absolute idiots should the atmosphere be relaxed enough. But she does try to restrain herself to the best of her ability. She knows her anger scares Carrot, and it was for that reason that she separated her every day self and her self as a Sorcerer Hunter into two different personalities.
She will do anything to make Carrot hers, and offers her body to him at any given opportunity. She often openly fantasizes about him and seems to have a hyperactive sexual drive when she brings up matters of her precious Darling. And yet she rarely hurts others who show interest in her darling, knowing full well that most of the time people won't reciprocate his feelings due to his own obnoxious personality. Instead she takes out her jealousy and paranoia on Carrot himself, not being afraid to tie him up, whip him senseless or even forcibly drug him to stop his advances on others. She knows that Carrot is not particularly interested in her, but her single-minded determination makes her believe that as long as she keeps trying her hardest to seduce him that it would eventually be inevitable that he would fall for her.
By the end of her canon Carrot actually ends up falling for her younger sister Tira, and although not satisfied with the outcome, she accepts the loss if simply because it is Tira who she loves and cares for unconditionally who won. Tira who always grew up calling Chocolat the sword to her shield. Due to the traumatic experience both shared Chocolat grew up determined to take on a more masculine role to protect and care for her younger sister, not trusting anyone else as capable of it. It was why she cares little about things such as shame or emotional delicacy. For she always knew she'd have to take the assertive role to protect her much more demure younger sister. And so Tira was the one person that she was able to lose to without a fight.
Part 2 because keeping it below 2000 words was the biggest struggle
All in all Chocolat is a manic, hyperfixated, greedy, oblivious, and overall socially inept woman who none the less tries to have good intentions with whomever she focuses upon. Her friends and family are something she holds dear but her love Carrot comes above all else. And behind all her ferocity and sexual deviancy lies nothing more that an angry and scared girl who had to face too much death and burdening responsibility for her short lifetime.
ORGANIC FORM:
Chocolat is going to stay in good old human form throughout the game.
SUITABILITY/REACTION:
Chocolat's own world is already a bit of a chaotic one. Although further in its development, her own memories of her world are of a land that was resuscitated over and over from one chaotic event to the next. Her world is one that's only just starting to redevelop after a great war, where most parsoners live in a state of extreme poverty and do the best they can to simply make ends meet and survive. Her world is also one with an extreme class struggle and, due to such, has become a place where the term 'kill or be killed' has become a necessity. It is because of this that Chocolat, although for the most part a regular parsoner, is capable of taking care of herself. Waking up in the vault may throw her in for a spin though, if simply because the idea that her whole life as she knew it was just a dream would feel impossible to her. Perhaps what she will deal with the worst, is the idea that her beloved Carrot is not here in this world, awake with her. But I think it would be an interesting situation to see how her mind folds with this realization and I am curious to see how she would react in an absolutely 'Carrot-less' life since she forced so much of her character and personality to revolve around and depend on him throughout her life. She would probably spend her first few days obsessively hunting him down and looking for him without much care to her own escape or well-being, only to eventually break down completely once the realization that this is her true reality hits.

NAME: Cassandra "Sandy" MarkoAGE: 13
CANON: Spider-man: Reign
CANON PULL-POINT: Issue 3: After she leads the Symbiotes into the church full of children.
HISTORY: Wiki links for Chapters 1, 2 and 3 are here.
Sandy grew up in a darker, miserable version of New York that had cut itself off from the rest of the world to protect itself. Spending her days trying to stay out of the way of militaristic police Sandy always felt the pressure of society trying to stamp out lower class families like hers along with the added pressure of knowing that she had a power. And in this version of New York superheroes, super villains, and anyone with powers beyond that of normal humans were arrested and spirited away often to never be seen again. It was a New York without heroes, but Sandy dreamed of them coming back to defend the helpless and clean up the city.
When she was younger her father would tell her stories about the Super-heroes and villains that had once lived in New York. He had known most of them in one way or another having been the villain known as "The Sandman" But like all others with powers and abilities he was rounded up at some point and locked away leaving Sandy to be raised by her mother who meant well but was often exhausted just from working to support their small family.
In the story she provides a sort of window into the world without Spider-man. A POV from the people of New York who are broken hearted and just want to be saved, until ultimately she realizes that she has to save herself and the city too must rise up and fight for survival. We don't even ever really learn her name till the last book when her father starts to guess, unable to remember her name because he's been gone so long.
PERSONALITY: Sandy has had to grow up a lot in some ways, and has been denied the chance to grow up in other ways due to the harshness of her cities law enforcement, and growing up poor and lonely in the city. She can be cynical at times, often assuming the worst of grown ups and especially of cops, assuming that they are all bullies in one way or another. The exception to this is if you come off less a member of law enforcement and more a superhero, anti-hero or villain. Yes even Super-villains rank higher in her book then cops.
Despite that cynical side of her Sandy can also be a bit of a dreamer at times. We see her on rooftops gazing out over the city dreaming of a better future. We are introduced to her spray painting walls in defiance of authority and practically praying for a super heroic savior to rescue her and drag her city out of the darkness into a new, brighter and happier tomorrow. She does not think very highly of herself in most regards. The only skill she has that she's particularly confident in is her speed and ability to survive, usually by leaving behind anyone not fast enough to keep up with her. While she is proud of her ability to run and hide she feels guilty about the fact that this means leaving others to take the fall, as well as how she views the acts of running and hiding more cowardly then heroic.
While Sandy does come from issue 3 I feel it's worth mentioning that by the end of issue 3 and beginning of issue 4 she's found her backbone and leads a revolution of children to try and take back the city. She may be scared, selfish and lack confidence most of the time, but she's got a fire in her, an anger at the sight of injustice and if she can tap into her courage it burns hot. Ultimately her courage and drive to save the city and do what she thinks is right is what gets her killed in the 4th issue of the series.
While she tries to keep her guard up and stay suspicious of strangers, especially adults...Sandy actively wants people to trust. She lets herself be taken in by this group of kids who follow around an elderly J. Jonah Jamerson all because they have the confidence and belief that the things Jamerson says are true. She follows them into the middle of the city for a demonstration, joining in the protest until she watches one of her new friends get killed in front of her. Then she falls back onto doing what she does best and runs away. She can feel guilty about it later (and does)
Finally despite her desire to act tough, strong and smart...she really just craves validation. Someone who doesn't mind that she's not the smartest or bravest person. People who can help her find things she is good at. Sandy does best when provided with mentors that she can learn from either by example or by working under them.
ORGANIC FORM: A scrawny, gangly human teenage girl.
SUITABILITY/REACTION: Sandy thought she had things rough in her crappy, military run New York but she never imagined something as scary as the Wasteland. When backed into a corner and forced to she will find that there are reserves of courage inside her she never knew she had and I think the wasteland might bring out the best in her. In her own story she was always looking to the sky for a hero, but I think her time in the Wasteland will mold her into a hero or anti-hero in her own right. What she lacks in size and strength she makes up for in speed and stealth which should come in handy for the other members of the team, not to mention how useful it is to have a smaller companion to get into those hard to reach places when you're looking for scrap.

NOTES, QUESTIONS, COMMENTS: While it may never come up, just in case super-powers get unlocked, Sandy's only super power as seen in the comic is the ability to turn her body into moving, living stone. This means her internals, her skin, hair and clothes all turn into stone (As evidenced when we see her shatter) It's implied that with time, practice and guidance Sandy could unlock powers similar to her fathers in one way or another but as she dies in the comic we'll never know for sure.
Also I recognize that by the time this application gets in it may be too late and the game might be full. If I need to resubmit next time please just let me know and I'm sorry for the delay.

NAME: Zhao Yunlan
AGE: 28
CANON: Guardian (drama)
CANON PULL-POINT: End of series (ep 40)
HISTORY: Wiki link.
PERSONALITY: Zhao Yunlan has the bleeding heart of a reformer and an idealist beating inside a thick shell of cool-guy detachment and charm. As a child, he would passionately argue with his father about the fact that Dixing, too, were people; he's a policeman now in order to help maintain the peace for both the underworld and surface dwellers, and not simply to protect the surface from the underworld, the way many of his superiors are. In fact, all of his closest friends are in some way not human: Li Hong is a snake shapeshifter, Chu Zi is a Dixing exile on parole, Da Qing is a cat shapeshifter, Wang Zhen is a ghost, and Shen Wei is an immensely powerful Dixing official. He seems to get along more easily and sincerely with the nonhumans who share his world -- secrets and all -- than he does with the humans from whom he has to keep secrets for their own safety.
Despite his rough-and-tumble facade, Zhao Yunlan isn't a violent man. He's willing to mix it up if he has to, especially if an innocent appears to be in danger (muggers beware) but he's extremely reluctant to kill, and he'll always try to talk his way through a situation rather than start swinging if that's an option. Even when the stakes are at their highest, he can't bring himself to hurt innocents, and when he has to put someone's life on the line in a dangerous situation he'll pick his own if he possibly can. While he does have a temper, his anger tends to be cold rather than hot; he'll act impulsively and carelessly until he gets angry enough to be serious, and that's when his calculating intelligence kicks in.
Zhao Yunlan is a good actor, and a good liar, as befits a man whose entire career is secret. His charm and his strong social skills are superficial, rather than coming from real enjoyment of the social scene. He's a good-looking young man with a nice job, an expensive car, and a personal life that consists almost exclusively of going out drinking to build good connections for his department. Despite his charisma, he keeps himself a little apart from most people, and has few close friends. He deflects any hint of sincere emotion with humor that sometimes shades dangerously close to mockery. Most of his friends are his co-workers, and the closest long-lasting relationship he has in his life, arguably, is with the deputy head of the department, who doubles as his pet cat and frequently crashes in his apartment in feline form. It's a relationship built on mutual shitty work schedules and a steady stream of dried fish snacks.
The cool-guy bachelor attitude is sincere in one respect: Zhao Yunlan does not have a single domestic bone in his body. His one vague wave in the direction of self-care is that he recently quit smoking, and has replaced his cigarettes with lollipops in order to occupy his hands. Besides that, he lives on alcohol and the occasional takeout, can't cook anything more complicated than cup noodles, and is getting old enough, at around 30, that this college student lifestyle has given him chronic gastric issues. His apartment is a disaster zone in which it's impossible to distinguish clean clothes on the floor from dirty clothes also on the floor. His work records and reports, however -- which he actually cares about -- are impeccable.
His essentially lonely and solitary workaholic existence didn't change until he ran into Shen Wei; it's obvious at once to all of his coworkers that the emotional connection the two of them share is something Zhao Yunlan has never had before, and the two of them wind up effectively living together within a few months of their meeting. From his reaction to Shen Wei, it's clear that although Zhao Yunlan is a picky man when it comes to close connections to others, when he actually makes them, he commits fast and permanently. He's awkward, and a ridiculous flirt, but he approaches romantic pursuit with the same reckless courage that he applies to every other aspect of his life.
Zhao Yunlan's self-image is complicated. He has a healthy ego and a realistically positive evaluation of his own skills, but he is also his own harshest critic. His father's history of sharp and unsympathetic criticism has left him prone to sharply critiquing himself whenever he feels he's failing at something. Perhaps because of the high standards he holds himself to, he also has high standards for others, and expects everyone who works for him to be sincerely devoted to their work. He's a good leader, with a good understanding of the various talents of his team members; his leadership style is casual and full of mutual teasing, but he can and will call people on the carpet for disloyalty or disobedience that leads to serious consequences.
He tends to gloss over his most deeply held feelings, and in awkward emotional situations (for example, a love confession from someone whose feelings he doesn't return) he freezes up and doesn't know what to say. His discomfort with awkwardness can make him blunt and sometimes even cruel with others' feelings, or lead him to avoid talking about issues directly until they explode. When he finally takes the plunge, though, he can prove surprisingly insightful and emotionally intelligent… he just doesn't like it.
ORGANIC FORM: Human
SUITABILITY/REACTION: Yunlan would be startled and disoriented to find himself in the vault, especially since his immediate previous memory involved sacrificing his life to activate an ancient artifact and save the underground realm from collapse. That said, he deals with emotional pain and distress by overwork, so he's likely to throw himself into exploring, trying to understand what might have happened to the previous residents of the Vault, and helping to improve the living situation of the Vault residents.
He's not going to clean, though. Apart from the skeletons, this place is actually less of a wreck than his bachelor pad pre-Shen Wei.

PIP-BOY NETWORK: I would kill for a cell phone. This wrist thing must weigh two kilos, and what even is this screen? It's killing my shoulder lugging it around. Anybody know where I can get a wrist weight to match for the other arm? Ergonomics matter in the modern post-apocalyptic hellscape and I have fresh cockroach to trade. Tastes like lobster, I swear. Trash lobster.
Oh, now that the urgent needs are out of the way: Zhao Yunlan. Truly it's a pleasure to be trapped here in a fallout shelter with all of you, although with my arm twisted I must add that it would be more of a pleasure to be… you know… not.
Any of that.
I'm certain I'm not alone in that particular opinion. Would any of you be able to enlighten me about our lovely lead-lined prison? Specifically I'm a touch worried about all those corpses, how many canned goods we have tucked away in the kitchen, and whether any of you have started home-brewing or know where a man might find some candy. Or gum. Or cigarettes.
Much obliged, my friends!
LOG: The red Hummer's engine idled as snowflakes built up on the windshield, clumping and scattering reluctantly with each sweep of the wipers. Yunlan leaned back in his seat, rolling his lollipop from one corner of his mouth to the other, and watched the light through half-drooping eyelids. There wasn't another car anywhere in sight, on this Saturday morning in January, and he found himself debating the pros and cons of running a red. Pro: this light was notoriously long. Con: damage to the upstanding reputation of the SID due to unsociable behavior by its head. Pro: he knew for a fact this light didn't have a traffic camera--
-- Con: it was green already. He put his foot down heavily on the gas, enjoying the roar as his car leaped forward into the several blocks separating him from his apartment. A last-minute call about a crime scene with inexplicable electrical scorching had dragged Yunlan out with Lin Jing after dinner the previous evening. Shen Wei, the devious bastard, had excused himself from accompanying them due to having exams to mark, inside, where it was warm. Yunlan and Lin Jing had spent hours stomping around in the snow at grave risk of frostbite before tracking the strange scorch marks back to a damaged power line, at which point Yunlan had turned the crime back over to the original investigating officers with a sense of deep relief marred only by the need to write up a report justifying SID's lack of jurisdiction.
By the time his fingers had unfrozen sufficiently to finish the fucking write-up, it was three A.M. and Lin Jing was asleep and drooling into his keyboard. Yunlan had made the executive decision to leave Lin Jing alone, on the grounds that he had deserted his superior in the face of paperwork and therefore deserved the way his neck was going to feel after using his computer as a pillow all night.
As for Yunlan, he had headed home. Sweet, sweet sleep awaited him. Sweet all-day sleep, since grading had also been Shen Wei's excuse for canceling their standing lunch date. The idea of not getting up until dinner sounded good enough to him, as he pulled into a snow-choked parking space outside his apartment, that he couldn't even regret the fact that he hadn't been able to wheedle Shen Wei out of the decision.
He bit through the last tiny blob of lollipop, crunching it down, and leaned his head back against the headrest in a mighty yawn before reaching for the door handle.
His phone shrilled.
Yunlan stared at it, eyes narrowing: yes, that was indeed the number of the Supervisory Office.
At three-thirty a.m. on a Saturday morning.
"Fuck," he said, grabbed the phone, spat out the sad chewed stick of his lollipop, and answered in his best chummy and responsible tone, "Yeah?"
The tinny voice of an overnight dispatcher muttered in his ear as he scrabbled for a notepad, sending a couple of pens and two candy wrappers sliding to the floor.
"Yeah. Mmhm. -- How long ago? Okay. Which hospital? Got it. Be there in fifteen."
He hung up, banged one hand on the wheel, swore a few more times, tossed the notepad into the passenger seat and picked the phone back up to exorcise his remaining frustration with a hearty good-morning time-for-work call to Old Chu.

Princess Azula / Avatar: The Last Airbender / Not Reserved
PLAYER
NAME: Al
OVER 18?: Yes
OTHER CHARACTER: Sandy Marko
CHARACTER
NAME: Azula
AGE: 18
CANON: Avatar: The Last Airbender
CANON PULL-POINT: From the end of the comic book series "The Search"
HISTORY: It really is a great show if you've never watched it. On Netflix now!
PERSONALITY: At this point in her life Azula feels like she really has lost it all. Her status, her home, even her mind to some degree. To put it plainly she's miserable.
Most of the time, Azula can be haughty, snobby and downright mean having been raised all her life to believe that she was just born better then others. And on top of superior breeding by way of being a Fire Nation Royal, she adds to her sense of superiority by having trained daily to be more physically and mentally competent and capable then most adults in her world.
All her life she's been a prodigy and the pressure of that combined with her ambition drove her to great heights. She was a war hero! She helped her father achieve his goals after her elder brother had failed time and time again and where did that get her? She almost had the crown, the position of leadership she had spent all her life striving for and it was snatched away from her at the last minute.
She feels like her brother, mother and life in general cheated somehow.
She can be paranoid, growing anxious and suspicious of even those closest to her due to two of her most loyal "friends" betraying her when she was ordering them to cross a moral threshold they were unwilling to cross. The paranoia can grow to such degrees that she has hallucinations of her mother whom she believed for a time was somehow the mastermind behind her downfall.
The reality of it is that her mother was always more doting on Zuko being the first son and in turn Azula felt neglected. She would lash out and her mother would scold her to the point where Azula has said "Even my own mother thought I was a monster." Of course Azula will then laugh it off saying her mother was right but it's clear that rejection early on in her life is what set the stage for so much down the line.
When things aren't all terrible Azula can actually be fun and thoughtful at times even going so far as to be frivolous. While vacationing on Ember Island with her brother and two friends (Before their falling out) Azula spontaneously decided that she would pretend not to be a Princess but instead be a normal Fire Nation teenager. At a party they were invited to she even took some lessons from her friend Ty Lee on how to flirt with a boy. It was petty and beneath her but she enjoyed herself all the same.
Then once she had determined the evening was over and everyone was in a bad mood she and her brother and friends returned to wreck the party and set the building on fire. Good times.
She can be cruel, she can be ruthless and she takes particular joy in showing people up, but after losing as much as she's lost she's been forced to accept she still has a long way to go. She isn't even sure she wants the throne anymore after seeing how quickly the citizens accepted Zuko as their new leader and were willing to just abandon the war that her family had spent a century winning.
But if she's not the Fire Lord, and there's no war for her to help win then what's left for a young prodigy who rose to the top and was knocked all the way back down so fast?
ORGANIC FORM: Active and athletic human.
SUITABILITY/REACTION: I believe that Azula would prove to be a useful member of the team mostly due to her physical capabilities and her tactical mind. She may be emotionally unstable at this point in her canon, having hallucinations and mood swings of a sort, but that's really just a fun little additional difficulty to try and work around isn't it? More importantly being kept as far away as possible from The Fire Nation and her family will give Azula an opportunity to try and find other things she wants, exploring who she is without her title, duties and the baggage of what her family has done to the world.
