Welcome to the plot page! Here we will list current obstacles that can be overcome to gain access to new areas and plot items that need to be addressed.

If you have questions in developing your approach or are looking for clarification, please leave a comment here!

While we encourage cooperation, we understand that multiple different groups/people may want to go about solving the same plot different ways. Plots that more than one character/group can claim will be designated as such. These plots will have a 'claim up to' date to allow multiple claims. On that date, all requests will be processes.

There is a chance this is not always a comprehensive list! If you can think of a different direction you want to take your character in, please post a comment here with what you're thinking of.

For each plot you'd like to claim, follow these steps:

Copy and paste the form at the bottom of the page
Fill out the information
Title the comment with the name of the explore or plot challenge
Post it under either under the 'explore' or 'plot' top comment

EXPLORE

CURRENT BLOCKADES TO BE OVERCOME:

Overseers Offices / Entrance Door
These are two plots, but as the solutions are similar are lumped together. The doors leading to the room labeled Overseers Office or Entrance are both currently sealed shut. Terminals are located to the side of each door. Impressive hacking skills or powerful force will be needed to open these doors. MULTIPLE PEOPLE/TEAMS MAY CLAIM THIS PLOT.

Computer Terminal Reading
All the terminals in the vault now have power. Spread around different rooms, some of these terminals have simple password protections (and possible searching near a few terminals will find the password) while others are easily accessible. What new information can be gained from going through the logs? Please include what room the terminal your character is accessing is in.MULTIPLE PEOPLE/TEAMS MAY CLAIM THIS PLOT.

Vault power

Characters involved: Chocolat Misu & Takagi Saya
Plan of action: As part of Chocolat's conversation with Nick to restore both power and lighting to the Vault, Chocolat does her best to figure out how the technology of the vault works. It isn't until she found the Vault-Tec Big Book of Science that she really decided to take action. Reaching out for anyone who has far more tech experience than her, Chocolat meet's Saya for the first time. They gather together what limited resources they have (the metal nuts, scrap metal, and what little electric wiring chocolat hasn't used while fighting the creature in chamber 2) and what information is available in the manual to try and reset the reactor.

Hopefully with Saya's knowledge and Chocolates brute strength they should be able to get somethings together. The only real worry is the radiation, which they only have the radiation suits in the reactor level to help them.

Relevant threads:
Saya will be commenting to thread 1 of Chocolat's top level in order to try and start figuring their way around the reactors workings.

Additional information: Chocolat and Saya will be taking two of the functioning radiation suits on the reactor level in order to complete this task.

Good work team! It takes a couple hours, but with instructions, gathered supplies, and teamwork the reactor slowly churns back to life. And the radiation in the room skyrockets as it gets going, so best for them to run fast once and close the door behind them once it begins.

Unfortunately, even with the suits those that worked in the reactor room gain moderate radiation poisoning. This causes severe nausea, vomiting, and feelings of weakness. As a mod note, there is a cure to this currently available in the vault! Your characters are not going to be in pain for the long haul, but it may be a rough couple days. Characters impacted should reply here or in one of the NPC threads for the monthly log with how they'll seek treatment.

Now that the electricity is on, full lighting kicks in across the vault. All the computer terminals light fully up, connecting to their networks. This includes the newly opened testing area, which while lacking access to the backup power is now back on the main grid. Hacking the computers will be a new exploration item.

New quest options and an OOC note to the main community will go up shortly. Good work!

Chocolat and Saya are going to be lead to the infirmary by Sandy in order to speak with Carlotte to deal with this nasty little bout of poisoning.

Awesome! After two injections of Radaway each the pair are on the mend. It will take a couple hours to fully feel better, and they'll have an increased need to pee for 24 hours. Otherwise they'll be right as rain.
